Meet Dr. Ramlaggan
Vasant Ramlaggan, DDS, HBSc

Dr. Vasant Ramlaggan completed a four-year Honours Bachelor of Science degree at the St. George campus of the University of Toronto, specializing in Microbiology and majoring in Human Biology. He graduated with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the School of Dental Medicine at the State University of New York at Buffalo, a top six US dental school teaching a comprehensive approach to dentistry, the oral aspect of medicine, and its relationship to overall medicine.
In addition to his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree programme, Dr. Ramlaggan chose to return to his community of Southern Ontario and completed a one-year Special Care Dentistry programme in which he had the opportunity to treat a variety of patients, including those with disabilities, in settings that included Northern Ontario communities, special care facilities, hospitals, and the University of Toronto dental school.
Dr. Ramlaggan has gained a great variety of experience through his experience working at several dental practices in the Golden Horseshoe area. Working with many dentists in various group settings has allowed Dr. Ramlaggan to observe and implement the ideas and experiences of different dentists. He also draws on his years of experience gained from working in service industries and research environments.
Dr. Ramlaggan firmly believes that participation in the dental community is imperative to maintaining his practice. He continues his education in dentistry by attending various courses and conventions, and continues to learn and exchange ideas by communicating with other dentists about the current practice of dentistry. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including:

Dr. Ramlaggan is originally from Niagara Falls, ON, and currently lives in the greater Toronto area. He is happily married with two lovely children and one Beta fish named Max. In his free time, Dr. Ramlaggan practices Iyengar yoga and enjoys reading, barbequing, and spending time with family and friends.
Along with the rest of his practice, Dr. Ramlaggan believes in the importance of supporting local and worldwide communities. He has donated to relief efforts through World Vision Canada and the Canadian Red Cross, to Art with Heart, ACT, and many other charitable organizations.
