Dr. Vasant Ramlaggan, DDS, HBS

Dentist

Dr. Ramlaggan has 27 years of active experience and is well versed and practised in all aspects of dentistry. His areas of expertise include orthodontics with aligners and braces including non-surgical (no teeth removal necessary) orthodontic treatments, same day implants, cosmetic treatment including crowns and veneers, TMD (jaw disorder) treatments, sleep apnea and snoring appliances, gum surgeries, fully impacted wisdom teeth removals, and root canal treatments and re-treatments. Dr. Ramlaggan has been using Twilight Dentistry (medicated relaxed dentistry) for over 15 years now to help his apprehensive patients.

Dr. Ramlaggan is also known for his full mouth reconstructions for severely damaged teeth and jaws and in creating and restoring functional, aesthetic smiles.

Dr. Vasant Ramlaggan achieved his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1995 from the State University of New York, School of Dental Medicine, a top 6 U.S. Dental School. He completed his Specialist Honours B.Sc. undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto in Microbiology and Human Biology.

Accepted into several residency programmes in the U.S. and qualified in the only year able to practise in 25 states, Dr. Ramlaggan chose to return to his Southern Ontario community to complete a one-year Special Care Dentistry programme. During this time, he had the opportunity to care for a variety of patients, including those with disabilities. He has lectured to dentists on Smoking Cessation and Dental Lasers.

Originally from Niagara Falls, Dr. Ramlaggan has spent most of his adult life in the Toronto area. He is happily married and enjoys spending time with his wife and three amazing children. In his free time, he practices Iyengar Yoga, reads, loves all things Sci-Fi, barbecuing, movies and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Neshat Deljoohmanesh, DDS

Associate Dentist

Dr. Neshat Deljoomanesh is a general dentist and offers services to patients in English and Farsi. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Nutrition, and a Master of science in Nutrition from University of Toronto. Dr. Deljoomanesh went on to complete her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) with High Distinction from the University of Western Ontario.

Dr. Deljoomanesh believes in patient outreach and continuing education and prides herself in providing patients with preventative care, the comfort of service, and the educational tools to maintain their oral health. She is certified in moderate minimal sedation, which help alleviate anxiety amongst patients.

Outside of her professional activities, she enjoys reading, mountain biking, playing tennis, skiing, spending time with family and friends, and travelling to explore the world.

Dr. Javaria Taufiq, DDS

Dr. Javaria Taufiq is a dedicated and compassionate dental professional with over 15 years of combined academic and clinical experience. Her commitment to patient care and satisfaction is evident through her excellent communication and interpersonal skills, which contribute to a welcoming and comfortable environment for every patient she treats.

Dr. Taufiq earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the esteemed de' Montmorency College of Dentistry in Pakistan. She further augmented her clinical proficiency through an immersive one-year General Practice Residency at Punjab Dental Hospital in Lahore, Pakistan. This was followed by an intensive four-year specialty residency in Operative Dentistry and Endodontics from the respected College of Physicians & Surgeons of Pakistan. Her education doesn't stop there; she elevated her academic credentials by graduating with honors in Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the globally recognized University of Toronto, Canada.

Her passion for dentistry extends into academics as well. Dr. Taufiq has enriched the field by serving as a Clinical Instructor at Sharif Medical & Dental College. In this role, she imparted her clinical wisdom to aspiring dental professionals, overseeing their development in performing general dental procedures. This symbiosis between her academic and clinical roles not only enhances her own skill set but also amplifies the quality of care she provides to her patients.

Beyond her special interest in Endodontics, Dr. Taufiq is well-versed in a full spectrum of general dentistry services. She holds certifications in nitrous oxide conscious sedation and has undergone specific training in clear aligner technologies. These additional qualifications empower her to offer a comprehensive array of treatment modalities, tailored to the individual needs and comfort preferences of each patient.

Furthermore, her linguistic capabilities in English, Urdu, Hindi, and Punjabi amplify her effectiveness in patient communication, catering to a multicultural clientele. In her leisure time, Dr. Taufiq enriches her life through a love for music, global travel, culinary exploration, and cherished moments with friends and family. 

Dr. Emad Rastikerdar, DMD, MSc, FRCD (C)

Dr. Rastikerdar grew up playing professional soccer, including playing for the city of Montreal, up until his late teen years when he was accepted into the prestigious McGill University School of Dentistry. After graduating from dental school in 2014, to further his knowledge, he went to Rochester, NY for an additional year of advanced comprehensive dental training (AEGD).

He then pursued his specialization in Periodontics and also obtained a Master’s degree in Science at the University of Louisville, Kentucky under the great leadership and expertise of the revered Dr. Henry Greenwell. During his residency, he had extensive training in periodontal treatment, periodontal soft tissue plastic surgeries, bone and soft tissue regeneration, sinus augmentation, and dental implants.

He is a member of multiple professional organizations including the American Academy of Periodontology, Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, Royal College of Dentists of Canada and Ontario Dental Association.
